Melhus IL was one of 52 clubs from Norway that had teams playing during Jente Talent Cup 2023. They participated with one team in 18-20 august Jenter 14 Elite (FØDT 2009) 11er .

In addition to Melhus IL, 17 other teams played in 18-20 august Jenter 14 Elite (FØDT 2009) 11er . They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Melhus IL could be found in Group C together with Kolbotn IL, Molde FK and KFUM-Kam. Oslo.

Melhus IL continued to Slutspill B after reaching 4:th place in Group C. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Heimdal Fotballklubb with 3-4. In the Final, Heimdal Fotballklubb won over Molde FK and became the winner of Slutspill B in 18-20 august Jenter 14 Elite (FØDT 2009) 11er .

Melhus IL also participated in 12-14 august Jenter 13 (FØDT 2009) 9er Elite during Jente Talent Cup 2022-august . They reached the final in Slutspill A, but lost it against Lyn Fotball with 1-2 and ended up in second place.

Melhus comes from Melhus which lies approximately 270 km from Stange, where Jente Talent Cup takes place. The area around Melhus does also provide three additional clubs participating during Jente Talent Cup 2023 (Ranheim IL, Heimdal Fotballklubb and Malvik-HIL).
